I freaking hate my landlord

This chick has lost her damn mind. She calls me today saying I underpaid my rent. She said left a notice on my door a week ago, before the first (hello today is the 14th). Even if the notice (which I never saw) was left when she said it was, why can't she understand she is supposed to give me 30 days notice?

I have a migraine so I didn't want to deal with her dumb ass. I am sending a check for the difference and will start paying more rent in December. I wish she would be diligent about taking care of her apartments and not just collecting rent.

I'm going to ask her next year to replace the carpet. We'll see what happens. She wants me and a couple of the other tenants out so she can jack up the rent by at least $500.

Also spoke with my car insurance company. The stronzo that hit my car (and let his insurance laspe), still hasn't paid anything. My accident was in March and who knows when I will get reimbursed for my deductible?

Okay, I just have to hold on until Dec. 20.

Hey NYC. So sorry that you're having such a rough day. It will get better I'm sure. Would you consider moving back to the East Coast? That might be the best thing for you until you are ready to take off for Rome. :)

I don't understand how she can raise your rent already.

Breathe in, breathe out. Just 5 short weeks and we'll be in HEAVEN.

Franca - it would be nice to be closer to my siblings but until I can write (and earn an income doing so) full time I need to live in Los Angeles. There are very few film exec jobs in NYC.

Gibber - it's a long story. I really dislike this lady. She tried to screw over an ex-tenant by not paying them back their security deposit.

oh that sucks. Stupid landlords. stupid stronzo.
Try to think about the positive. Hey when you do get to Rome let me know and I'll buy you a celebratory "down with the landlords! down with stronzos!" drink or two. :)

Thanks Avery, looking forward to that drink. :)
