Randomissimo - Gattuso ad

I was walking through Rome's Termini Station and took these photos. There is a big Nike store on the ground level.

Although I don't follow his team, I do have a special place in my heart for Gennaro "the Rhino" Gattuso.

Interesting combo of Italian/English. To my American eyes, when I see the words Nike Football, I look for shoulder pads.

Now that's not a bad thing to be greeted by as you're catching a train....

Did you see the piece about Italians wanting to get English out of Italiano?

Italian call to use less English

Guess no one told Nike ;)

I remember when they revamped Termini. Must go to Rome more often..

And they say Termini is not an attractive train station!
And I don't support either Milan or Juve, but I wouldn't mind if Nike would make their next ad campaign feat. Pirlo or Buffon.

with gattuso, there's just somethin about all that dark hair!

i've been in that station so many times, martine and i always stayed in that lovely 'hood whenever we were in rome...made me smile to see a pic of it!

speaking of hot soccer players, i was confused for a while by the two cannavaros. i was familiar with the one who was in the world cup, but every now and then, i would see another very similar one, but taller and even cuter...someone finally told me that they were brothers.

I aaaadore Gattuso. There's something so sweet and good-natured about him- both on and off the pitch :-).

One day you'll see the word "football" and not think of shoulder pads. You'll realize it, and it's then you'll know you've lived in Europe for awhile.

michelle - I saw that article. I hardly ever year people say "fine settimana" alway "il weekend".

charlie - Okay this is the revamped version? I'm a little scared to thing what the old version looked like. :)

belgian - Ha. I like both those players as well.

tracie b - he is fione! I've seen Fabio's brother. Sigh...I don't have the words.

lulu - I agree. He has a great energy (unless you are playing against him then I guess it's not so great.)

carrie - yes I still call calcio soccer. ha

I still LUST over Fabio rather than Paolo, but they are both fine.

I agree there is something about Gennaro Gattuso...that glossy black hair!!!!! LOVE!

I usually love me some Rino but that picture scares me! Even scarier: "Passa al next level"??!?!? I hate it when they do that!!
