I hope all the fathers out there had a great Father's Day. I spoke to two of the greatest fathers I know yesterday, my dad and my brother. I miss them.
You can tell this video is a few years old. Totti's hair is long and the fantastic Luca Toni is not in it. However, Gennaro and Fabio are. I assume this song was for a charity.
I decided to go back and listen to the Pimsleur Level One Italian CDs. Saturday night "la contessa" hosted a dinner and we tried to speak Italian. La contessa speaks Italian very well. Every time she left the dining room, I would start speaking English again. haha. It would be good to review some basics.
I had such a great time Saturday with my three friends. We all met in Italian class a couple years ago. Ci sono belle donne.

CALDO, CALDO, CALDO!!! Che un bello way to start my day!
I'm glad to hear you use Pimsleur because I was debating buying them to practice for my upcoming trip. This settles it.
(By the way, I loved the book and am sending it off to the next reader.) :D
Sounds like you need to get back to Italy. I think it's calling you.
*big smiles*
That's so cool, glad you had a good weekend.
In the interest of music, todays blog may interest you, btw.

rose in cali - when are you going on your trip?
wanderlust - re: Italy, I agree
NYC/C Ragazza: I am going July 17-31. I can't wait! You're welcome to join me; I'm staying at Shelley's the first week. :D
Who's "la contessa"? I'm missing something here. Well, your Italian is going to grow by leaps and bounds once you get here. I'll invite you over to some of our dinner parties... you'll be speaking romanaccio in no time at all! ;-)
rose in cali - sono molto gelosa! I will be working but look forward to hearing about your trip.
shelley - la contessa is the nickname for one of my friends. She goes to Filicudi all the time and speaks Italian very well. Half the time I don't understand her emails.
I hope I will be able to pick up the language once I'm immersed in it.
