I finally found the Flower Mart in Rome

I've been meaning to check this place out for a while. It not too far from the Trionfale farmers market in Prati.

On the first floor are plants/trees and on the second floor are cut flowers.

It's open to the public on Tuesdays after 10:00 a.m. Many of the cut flowers are gone by then, but the prices are incredible cheap.

Mercato dei Fiori
On the corner of Via Trionfale and Via Paolo Sarpi

Peonies are among my favorite flowers. They are not cheap. However, this bunch cost only five euros and opened up nicely.

A girl after my own heart....everytime I am in Rome I have to stop by the flower mart and buy a bouquet of sunflowers to put in the room wherever I stay...they are ultimately my favorite flower...they remind me of such beautiful times in Roma like going to meet friends for aperitivo and dinner...ahhhhhhh, don't know if gets any better than that...

Peonia.
My absolute favourite flower.
Thank you for posting the shot as they are impossible to find here, and when they do, they never open up.

You're welcome Paola. I adore them too.

Despite having a garden full og flowers, I get very jealous of anyone living in Rome...and getting fresh cut flowers from the flower market...and living in Rome (did I already mention that??)
