Never heard it!! And first I ever heard Wham!, I was in Rome!! Although funny how the first few lines could take a whole new meaning today: I have a good time with the boys I meet down on the line. hehe
Thanks for posting that video! Great stuff!! I don't remember the words but I remember the song. They were styling back then. Love the rolled up jeans and SLIP ON canvas shoes. And George Michael practiced his "Faith" moves in this video too. And what did Andrew Ridgeley actually do in Wham except look good? A mystery!
Buon giorno Arlene- Come stai? We miss you!! La Bottega isn't the same without you:( Josh and I are going to try and make a concerted effort to get back on our Italian lessons in hopes that we'll actually get back to Italy- and for the first time - to Rome. How exciting would it be to meet up with you in Rome!! It may be a little while before we get there- we're working on it:)
I've been reading your blogs and keeping up with your journey- it sounds like it's been wonderful and overwhelming at the same time. It makes me think back to moving here. Obviously I didn't have the language barrier and as great a culture shock ( but you'd be surprised- there was some:). I remember moving here and knowing one person. Having to get a job ( because the CAN dollar was about 63 cents US- sound familiar?)- and having a hellish time getting an apt. because I had no credit in the US and it was like I was born yesterday- no credit cards, nothing but what cash I had on me:) But it was thrilling at the same time- freeing and empowering- and I can tell you're feeling that in Rome.
I got myself on Facebook at the insistence of a friend- and now I'm hooked. So, we can email through that if you want as well.
I'll keep reading your posts and staying current with you- I know things are crazy busy there but drop me a note when you have a chance and I'll keep you posted on life in LA.
giulia - Yes he did. I did wonder when I saw the video for "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go".
claudia - hehe.
dmarie - LOL, You too? Thanks for the good wishes.
linda - I asked myself that question maybe times. What did he do?
lilacspecs - I'm warning you now, there will be other Wham delights showing up from time to time on flashback fridays.
ms. atl - yes...it is a classic.
claire/chiara - ciao cara! I will look for you on Facebook. I hope you and Josh make it to Rome soon. We'll have to get together for dinner or something. Fe might be traveling to Italy this fall. Maybe we can have a reunion of sorts. We'll have to track down Mads. ha. Miss you. Next time you are at La Buca please have a class (or bottle) for me.
ms. atl - I saw Nicki on Sat. in Florence but yes I have been to Positano. I went for two days. It quite a schlep from Rome by train but is so worth it. It's just a such a beautiful place.
tanny - Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a great time in Rome. May is a great time to visit. It's a little crowded but not too hot and a lot of places have outdoor seating.
anali - Thank you for stopping by as well. I don't think it was a radio single but I def. saw the video on MTV.

Hey, it looks like you may have made it to Positano. It is one of my favorite towns. Did you stay there for more than a day?
Ms. ATL
