No, Thanksgiving is not celebrated in Italy.

Many Americans ask me if Thanksgiving is celebrated here.

Why would it be? It's an American holiday!

However, several of my American friends, who are married to Italians, will be hosting Thanksgiving lunches this weekend.

Turkeys have been ordered from the butcher, wines have been selected and I can't wait. The food is a mix of favorites from the States (stuffing!!) and Italian dishes.

I hope everyone Stateside has a fantastic Thanksgiving Holiday!

Let the Christmas music begin! A Charlie Brown Christmas and A Christmas Story are two of favorite programs to watch. Enjoy!

The older I get, the longer I live in Europe, the more I'm becoming NOT involved in celebrating any holidays. I'm free of stress and expectations of others. Everyday is taken as a day to celebrate and especially give thanks. I'm constantly broke (physically, emotionally and monetary, but still so very lucky and especially happy) BECAUSE I love gifting others every single day I get to live this life. As well, I'm one of the few who doesn't have to work off extra weight from excessive over-indulgence during such official holidays!!!.:-()

So, happy another day of life to you and everyone!.
