Flashback Friday – (on Thursday, Forth of July edition) - James Brown - "Living in America"

Many people Stateside will have the day off tomorrow in celebration of the 4th of July.

This song and video are so over the top. I love it.

I think I saw Rocky IV. I lost count. How many Rocky movies were there?

random...I used to see Dolph in my gym in L.A. all the time. The years have been kind to him. He's fine and very tall.

Have a great weekend!

Yup - totally over the top, just like our good, old U.S. of A. is!

Perfect choice. This was great fun to watch.

I like James Brown but this isn't one of my favourites. But I'm Canadian so I may be biased ;)
Wow! Dolph!! Did he have any work done or is it all natural?

jen - I haven't seen this video in years. It's perfect for those with some ADD.

gibber - I hope so. I'm working.

steve - good luck with your move. Have you checked out expatsinitaly.com? It's a great resource.

milanesemasala - ha. I think Dolph is all natural or just has a very good surgeon. He does look older of course but clearly he takes care of himself.

I did see Dolph once at the airport in SXM, he was about 2 feet taller than me!

Happy 4th :)

I think there are 300 or so Rocky films. Or at least there are too many. It seems like everything has a sequel, and a sequel, and a sequel....these days. Why won't producers even try new films? It is so irritating to see the same stuff on the big screen year after year after year

jess - yes he is VERY tall. Hope you had a nice 4th.

j, doe - ha. It is frustrating but as long as the remakes and movies based on toys make so much money, Hollywood will keep pumping them out. To the studios it seems less risky than trying to market an original idea. The remakes/toys have built in awareness.
