President Obama's Picks for March Madness

Yes it's that glorious time of year again...the NCAA tournament, aka March Madness. I see Syracuse (where I went to college) is a number 3 seed. Hopefully they will make it out of the first round. The Big East, which Syracuse is a part of has the most teams in this year's tournament.

ESPN asked the President to send in his picks. UNC? hmmm. It seems they are the favorite to win it all.

On EPSN's website they have his officially bracket. I think today is the last day you can fill out your own. This video of him filling out his brackets is pretty funny.

Go Orange!!!

Shouldn't Obama be doing something presidential like thinking about the AIG bonuses given from taxpayer money or ways to ease the economic problems for millions of people instead of picking teams he thinks will win the NCAA?
If your gonna be president then act like one!

J. doe - He's a basketball fan. The NCAA tournament is a big news story. I think spending 10 minutes talking about something that is a huge deal to a big part of the population is fine. How is this unpresidential? He did speak about the AIG bonuses and has been working with congress on a budget/economic plan.

Also presidents do things like this all the time. Like the White House Easter Egg hunt, the pardoning of the Thanksgiving Turkey, meeting the winners of various sporting events (Super Bowl, World Series, NCAA women/men sports) this is all part of the gig.

Standing by while a major U.S. city (New Orleans) falls into chaos after a natural that is unpresidential behavior.

Geez J.Doe, Give the guy a break for being human. He has been dealing with the mess which was left to him since waaayyy before taking office -- in fact, since the day after the election. So sue him for being a basketball fan.

Even a workaholic like Obama needs a little relief now and then. We would like him to stay healthy, wouldn't we?

I don't get people like J.Doe and others. How much time does it take to do a bracket? Unlike our last president, this one can walk and chew gum at the same time. Give it a rest. And if you think filling out the bracket is SOO time consuming, you clearly don't understand basketball.

Diana-Workaholic? Ha ha ha.That's funny. He's too busy partying (at taxpayer exspense) to be a workaholic.

diana - I agree. It took him 10 minutes. I don't understand why it would be a problem.

anon - co-sign

j. doe - Partying? Even the commentators on Fox News (no fan of Obama's) have talked about his workaholic ways and how much stress he is under.

Perhaps if Obama wasn't laughing it up on Leno and taking all these trips on Air Force One maybe I'd cut him some slack with the NCAA picks.
He's not presidential and not a workoholic-no matter ho many gray hairs he now has.
