Today is a most important holiday....World Nutella Day!

Yes bloggisti it is that time of year again. February 5th is World Nutella Day.

We know Nutella goes well with strawberries, bananas and things like biscotti. But did you know it also goes well with...

The Trevi Fountain.

How about the Pantheon?

Ancient Rome.

And one of my favorites, just a spoon.

Big thanks to Sara at Ms. Adventures in Italy and Michelle at Bleeding Espresso for planning this glorious event. On Monday there will be a round up.

How cute and original. I love it. So tell us, were people looking at you strangely when you were courting Nutella around Roma or what?!?

You are so creative - and funny. Loved seeing the Nutella in my second favorite city in the world (I can't make NYC feel bad).

cherrye - It was so early not that many people were out and about. At the Trevi Fountain there were a bunch of policemen and they were looking at me like I was crazy.

milanese - grazie and same to you.

beatriz - thanks and anche te.

kim b - thanks!

joanne - Happy WND to you as well.

Ciao Chow Linda - Of course we can't diss NYC. Last year I made a Nutella/Banana desert piazza. This year I couldn't think of what to make and then I was walking past the Pantheon and a light bulb went off.

just wanna know if you got some strange looks! ha.

erin - thank you. I went so early that the streets were pretty quiet. However at the Trevi Fountain some cops were like "ma che fa!"

What a fun post. I would just love to be eating Nutella with a spoon in front of Fontana di Trevi!

Off the wall clever.
I'm sure the vigili at the Fontana di Trevi just thought "un altra Americanata!"

grazie

and yes one reason I went to shoot so early on a cold morning was to one get a clear shot and two not have too many stare me like I was nuts.
