Flashback Friday - Bobby Brown "Every Little Step"

TGIF. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Remember when Whitney said her husband was the King of R&B? Ha, no but I do love this song, the whole album was great

This video was released in 1988 during the height of the Gumby style era. That haircut was HUGE in the late '80. Grace Jones had one too.

Check out the spandex shorts worn with suspenders.

i have a very specific memory with this song...at some party at a girlfriends house. Nothing in particular, but it just must have been on in the background or something and planted itself in my subconscious. boh.

...and who needs suspenders with spandex? i don't think those things will fall down anytime soon.

I was doing my own Flashback Friday since I was off work in the afternoon. Remember Milli Vanilli, the lip sync dudes? I loved them. 80s dance style, fashion style and hairstyles......and I also knew all the words to this song!

j. doe - oh I do remember them. They will def. make an appearance on my Flashback Fridays at some point.

Great flashback, I could not believe I knew all the words (though I forgot about the lovely fashions!) I love reading your blog, thanks for writing! Have a great weekend.

You forgot to mention those RED socks!! Why is it that extraordinarily talented brothers(i know it's not just brothers, but that is my concern right now) can't stay focused on what is HEALTHY for them?!

Bobby Brown was the bomb! What is up with him?! Why is it that the combination of super-talented brother with multiple assets and skills + multi-talented sista' with super assets can't = success and happiness?!

How ironic l was thinking of Bobby just yesterday after l found an old school diary noting that l went to the Bobby Brown concert. Pleazzeee don't forget MC Hammer in your flashback fridays...

jilll - thank you for the compliment...enjoy the rest of your weekend.

janie - you are right, how could I forget about the socks? Re: Bobby and Whitney, I could do a whole post on that drama. Remember that Diane Sawyer interview?

Working in Hollywood I see a lot of talented people who don't have the strongest foundations, support or sense of self. You add fame, money, nobody around you to say "no" or "get over yourself" to that type of personality, there are going to be problems. My brother thinks too many folks here are lost.

Confessions - MC Hammer! Yes he will go on the list.
