My friend A. invited me to check out this exhibit. I highly recommend it.
I had no idea there were so many Italian impressionist painters. There are some truly stunning works of art in this show.
My friend E. had told me about the cool cafe upstairs but I had no idea where this museum was. Of course it's walking distance from my apartment. I've been here almost two years and I'm still "discovering" places in my neighborhood.
The building, designed by Bramante, is pretty spectacular as well. It was cold and raining when we went last week. I look forward to returning during a nice sunny day.
The show runs until March 14th. Here is more INFO about this incredible exhibit.

Oh yes... there are several monuments in the historical district of Rome: you need only to find them out under the unbelievable amount of graffiti... and cars parked everywhere...
I love the chiostro del bramante, great cafe! Now I have a good excuse to get back there :)
oh yeah - we saw this exhibit in Ferrara earlier this month. It was really interesting though it was totally jammed packed. I liked Baldini best in the exhibit. I had never heard of him but there is a Baldini Museum in Ferrara and he has some beautiful paintings. We bought a print which looks great on the wall ;)
regina - I keep hearing great things about the care. It's on my must do list now.
texas - There was a large group taking a tour when we went to see it. I was surprised to see so many people there at 4:00 in the afternoon. Mostly senior citizens but there were several couples as well. It's a truly fantastic show.
