My friend E has posted photos on her blog including one of this fab woman on her motorino wearing plaid shorts and plaid shoes. Never mind that they weren't the same plaid pattern, girlfriend was rocking her outfit.
Everything seems bigger/exaggerated in Naples, including the fashion.
I forgot to mention the one brutta figura incident. E.'s response to the woman was, "I have a lot to say." haha
E. has a newborn so we don't get to see each other too often. The train ride was the perfect time to catch up.

What got me the most last July I saw women in fur lined rubber soled cowboy boots waling on via Toledo. These boots are what you see in barnyards or are worn in Winter here in the USA. I enjoy your blog.
Ha! I saw Breakin' 2 when it first came out. Was worth every penny ;)
Yeah, the Neapolitans aren't afraid of anything when it comes to fashion.
And what exactly was the Brutta Figura incident? Deets please!
gil - thank you! Naples style is very interesting.
milanese - that movie is so bad is good. E. explains the "incident" on her blog but this woman from Naples yelled at us on the train ride down. She said we were talking too much. Then she try to engage some other people in the car to join her in complaining. Meanwhile like E. said, the woman sounded like a character from Gomorra. I didn't understand a word she said other than "due ore a mezzo".
Soounds like you had a wonderful trip to Naples. Have a great weekend.
