Flashback Friday – Thanksgiving edition - Billy Crystal/Robert DeNiro Ad

Today's flashback is a little earlier.

Last year I was in Milan for Thanksgiving eating an amazing dinner with several of my expat friends and their Italian husbands.

This year I will be working.

I am thankful my family and friends are healthy.

I am also thankful for being able to live in this incredible city.

Some of you from the States might remember this ad. It aired during the Macy's Parade the Thanksgiving after 9/11.

Have a great holiday weekend.

I remember your Thanksgiving post of last year. Enjoy your new home.

That was a fabulous ad. I've never seen it before.

My mom went out for her last time to view the parade - I grew up on the block where the parade starts and the balloons are blown up. I have many, many memories from growing up days. Now it's a zoo.

I know it was an emotional time for my mom today.

I've never seen this commercial before! But granted, I don't usually watch the parade. Enjoy your Thanksgiving with some good food, even if you're working. I'm working too but will take it kind of easy.

milanese - Thank you. I was able to have some on Friday and it was delicious.

joanne - isn't it funny?

petulia - grazie

jen - It must be so hard to leave a place you love after so many years. I hope your mom had enjoyed the parade.

ninety9 - thank you. Hope you're having a great weekend.

gibber - you're my favorite sister too. ha

diana - you are too kind. grazie mille.

kimb - I was actually looking for a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving clip. I think this ad only aired once but it did get a lot of press.

mr. chambers - thank you. How romantic to get engaged in Roma.
