San Carlo Chips why must you torment me!

In another post I spoke of my feelings for the Rustica style chips. I finally cut back to eating them only on weekends.

Well one day I was in the supermarket minding my own business when the following somehow ended up in my basket.

I looked at the photo and it said “sour cream and chives” to me. This is a rare flavor combo in Italy.

I returned home and looked up the word “campagnola". It means “country woman“, uhm okay.

These chips were outstatnding. I’ve been looking for them everyday since that lovely afternoon. I can’t find them anywhere.

What is up with that? San Carlo is messing with me. Why tease me so? It’s not right.

The search for the chips continues.

Also must agree with Diana on the tortilla chips--by *far* the best I've found here. San Carlo rocks the chips.

LOL, I love it. They could do a commercial series about your hunt for chips!

michelle - did you see Sara's comment. Perhaps I should call San Carlo and ask them where are the chips for Rome?!

los angelista - hmm, it could be very arty as I run around Rome. ha

The San Carlo chips are readily available down here, though I've never seen the tortillas. No kettle chips either. I'm not really complaining though as it would just be another excuse to stuff my face - which I do not need. I "allowed" myself to buy a tube of sour cream+onion Pringles the other day - not a good move.

Back on the chips are we? Control!

delina - I know what you mean about Pringles. It's impossible to eat only one.

glamah16 - ha. Yes it's true. I'm trying, I'm trying.

I am sure I saw those the other day, whilst on holiday. I really resisted the temptation to eat crisps..

I thought of these when I was in Genova but couldn't remember the brand and made do with something yummy.

anne - I try to resist the temptations, I really do.

Di Mackey - I hope you had a great trip. Genoa seems like a very interesting city.
