Today's flashback is a little earlier.
Last year I was in Milan for Thanksgiving eating an amazing dinner with several of my expat friends and their Italian husbands.
This year I will be working.
I am thankful my family and friends are healthy.
I am also thankful for being able to live in this incredible city.
Some of you from the States might remember this ad. It aired during the Macy's Parade the Thanksgiving after 9/11.
Have a great holiday weekend.

Very cute! I hope you'll be able to have some turkey today. And stuffing and cranberry sauce and...
Now I'm hungry and it's only 10.30!
Happy Thanksgiving!!
I'd never seen that, very charming. Happy Thanksgiving!
So nice. I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving, even if you'll working. In fact, good luck with finishing up the job .
I remember your Thanksgiving post of last year. Enjoy your new home.
That was a fabulous ad. I've never seen it before.
My mom went out for her last time to view the parade - I grew up on the block where the parade starts and the balloons are blown up. I have many, many memories from growing up days. Now it's a zoo.
I know it was an emotional time for my mom today.
I've never seen this commercial before! But granted, I don't usually watch the parade. Enjoy your Thanksgiving with some good food, even if you're working. I'm working too but will take it kind of easy.
happy thanksgiving to my FAVORITE SISTER IN THE WORLD! i miss you

Best to you, too.

gibber - you're my favorite sister too. ha
diana - you are too kind. grazie mille.
kimb - I was actually looking for a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving clip. I think this ad only aired once but it did get a lot of press.
