Ha. I can't wait until Friday either.

yvonne - it's like how we have the World Series but it's only between teams in the U.S. or maybe Canada If the Blue Jay or Expos get in.

One of the judges, Michael Giannini, is Italian American but his Italian is very good. I only realized he was American when he busted out with. "Work it ladies" in English. Sometimes he does say "be fierce". hanyc/caribbean ragazzahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09370358466131415888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18861479.post-13634465419295017792008-12-17T07:02:00.000+01:002008-12-17T07:02:00.000+01:00Jen, I think you're talking about 'Superstars of D...Jen, I think you're talking about 'Superstars of Dance' which is due to premiere on NBC in the first week of January. I'm sorry to admit I know this, but Nigel Lythgoe is one of the producers. (And the one-time "Lord of the Dance" is a co-host! Hee!)

I'm excited because for once an American show that claims to feature the best (fill in the blank) in the world isn't defining the world as Los Angeles, Boston, Miami, and maybe Toronto for good measure. Looks like the show will actually feature dancers from all over the, you know, world!

nyc/caribbean, I'm trying to imagine a 'Top Model' show that focuses on models and not the host or judges. Could such a thing exist? What's Italian for "badunkadunk", "fierce", and "smile with your eyes"?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18861479.post-28048050613199287932008-12-16T14:38:00.000+01:002008-12-16T14:38:00.000+01:00My week is so messed up, I clicked over here looki...My week is so messed up, I clicked over here looking forward to Flashback Friday . . . of course it's only TUESDAY!!!!! I guess that's what happens when you work like dogs all weekend and finally get a moment of peace on Tuesday. Ack.

Italy's top model sounds hilarious, I wonder if they have it here in France (not Italy's top model but France's, that is. Unclear antecedents!!).

Happy TuesdayAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18861479.post-23130462064296310372008-12-16T13:24:00.000+01:002008-12-16T13:24:00.000+01:00This just made me think about how different these ...This just made me think about how different these spin-off shows must be to sell, culturally, in each different country.

I'm really looking forward to some show that's starting here in January. I'm sure it's Nigel Lithgow's dream show (I know... spelled his name wrong... too early), because he's producing and it's like "So You Think You Can Dance" but it's an international competition of professional companies. I wonder how it's going to sell in the States.

I'm completely psyched to see it, though!Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02362687820368214420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18861479.post-37374410787558677032008-12-16T12:32:00.000+01:002008-12-16T12:32:00.000+01:00I wondered about the sunglass thing too. I stopped watching the show a while ago so I'm a little out of the loop.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
